Forest instead of monoculture: coffee from Alto Chirumbia

Finca Santa Rosa, run by Placido Quispe Tinta, is located in the Cusco region - more precisely in Alto Chirumbia San Martín at an altitude of 1750-1950 meters.

The plants grow here in the shade of the forest, between banana trees, avocado trees, yuca and cereals. No pesticides, no chemicals - not on the farm, not within a radius of 30 km.

The community is part of a slow food community that focuses on regenerative agriculture. The aim is to preserve biodiversity, protect soils and create healthy livelihoods - for people and nature.

Gentle washed process

After harvesting, the cherries are selected, de-pulped and fermented for 24-48 hours. They are then washed and dried on ventilated beds for 12 days - without direct contact with the sun and with minimal water consumption.

Each batch comes from a single plot and consists of a single variety - 100% Caturra. Small, pure, well thought out.

A coffee that shows how good the future can taste - if you tackle it with courage.
