About

WHY DO WE ROAST COFFEE ?
BECAUSE IT'S NECESSARY. DOT
Coffee is not just coffee. It is trade, history, exploitation - and at the same time taste, culture and encounter. We roast because we want to show that there is another way: transparent, fair and uncompromisingly good. Our coffees do not come from anonymous warehouses, but directly from people who know what they are doing. Small farmers, cooperatives, family businesses - people with an attitude. We buy directly, pay prices that make sense and show what we are left with. Everything is open, everything is visible. Our roasts show what coffee can do: Fruit, depth, clarity - sometimes also rough edges. No showmanship - just honest craftsmanship with attitude. And yes: we would be nothing without the producers. That's why we don't take ourselves too seriously. But we take what we do seriously.
HOW WE ROAST ?
CLEAR, PRECISE - BUT NOT DOGMATIC.
Our roasts are light, direct and transparent. We want to make the origin, the variety and the processing tangible - not cover it up, but show it. Fruit, clarity, structure. No roast aroma show. The Typhoon Fluid Bed roaster gives us full control over time, temperature and airflow. The heat hits the beans directly - this allows us to achieve short, clean roasting profiles with maximum aroma. And it's even more energy efficient than traditional drum roaster.
And yes: sometimes it can be dark. But then really dark!
How we Purchase ?
Direct, comprehensible and fair. We trade directly - with farmers, cooperatives or middlemen that we know and value. Long-term relationships, honest exchange, genuine transparency. And if we don't buy from the source ourselves, we work with importers who share our values - and not just on paper. Transparency is not a buzzword, but a standard. We show what we pay - openly, comprehensibly and fairly. Our prices enable producers to invest in their farms, their families and their future. Because only if something gets stuck at the beginning of the chain will something good come out at the end.
Who we Are ?
Different. Unadapted. Unmistakable.
We come from different places - geographically, biographically, musically. What unites us? The belief that you can do more with coffee than just fill cups. We stand for attitude, not trends. For honest work, not blah blah blah. For diversity - not for marketing reasons, but because it makes life better. Our roastery is a place where things are created: Coffee, ideas, conversations.....whatever. Where people come together who want to share something - not everything, but enough. People who come by should feel comfortable, even if they don't know how to pronounce flat white. We sell coffee - of course. But it's actually about something else.

The Future ?
Let's take it seriously! We want to think coffee further. Transparency, direct relationships, real sustainability. From origin to packaging - everything counts. Coffee is handmade - and a livelihood. Those who live from it should also be able to live from it. That's why we take a closer look, ask questions. And do better where we can.
